Is a drow an elf?
The drow, also called dark elves, are a subterranean race of elves. They are noted for their cruelty and powerful magic.
Do elves hate drow?
The true focus of drow hatred, though, is reserved for the surface elves. They act quickly and cruelly to seize any chance to bring pain, suffering, and death to other elves they encounter. Even evil-aligned surface elves that they come across are seen as enemies.
Why do drow hate elves?
They all hate each other, and that enmity defines them. Elves hate drow for their treachery and the eladrin for their oppressive society. Eladrin hate the elves and drow as Unseelie. Drow hate the other two races because their have given themselves primarily to evil.
Why are drow hated?
There are a few reasons. One is that drow society is considered evil, but that’s not enough on its own; lots of player characters are evil. But it’s a thing some folks dislike, and “the good [member of a traditionally evil race]” is a trope many consider tired.
Are drow Fey?
In the monster manual they are categorized as Fey creatures so that is true in a way but that would also mean that drow would be categorized as Fey creatures too, which they are not.
What are drow afraid of?
They were hated and feared due to their cruelty, though some non-evil and an even smaller number of good drow existed.
Are drow beautiful?
The drow (fittingly for the dark perversions of the elves they were) were decadent and hedonistic beings with a love for what they considered beautiful and a desire to surround themselves with it, generally without paying attention to the cost of acquiring it.
Where do drow go when they die?
If a drow does not have the ambition to advance in society, then this is where they remain, toiling away as soldiers, servants, and playthings for the rest. They will die, and Lolth will consume their souls in the afterlife.
