Can morphs be responded to?
You cannot respond to morph, but you can respond to abilities that trigger whenever a creature is turned face-up. They are two separate events. Using real cards as examples… Creatures with morph triggered abilities do not combo with Astral Slide or cards like Zombify.
Can you morph a manifest?
Any time you have priority, you can turn a manifested creature face up if it’s a creature card. If you happen to manifest a card with morph, you can turn it face up either by paying its mana cost (if it’s a creature card) or by paying its morph cost.
Can you morph in response to split second?
Yes you can use morph in response to a spell with split second. When a split second spell is put on the stack players can’t cast spells or activate abilities (except for mana abilities) with that spell on the stack. Morph on the other hand is a special action and only requires that a player has priority.
Does Animar reduce morph?
Yes, Animar can reduce the cost for a face-down Morph spell. You announce the spell and declare your choice to pay the alternate cost of , then you calculate the total cost, which can be reduced by Animar (the same is true for Evoke costs).
Can you morph at instant speed?

Can Krosan grip be countered?
For instance, Krosan Grip has split second, but with a successful Counterbalance flip, can be countered.
Can a morph be used on a face down creature?
The converted mana cost of a face-down creature is 0 since it has no mana cost. Morph is only an option if you’re casting the spell. If you’re putting it on the battlefield, you cannot put it onto the battlefield face-down.
Are there any new abilities in morph 1.12?
Morph’s abilities are also slated to be rewritten and I currently don’t have the time to reimplement the abilities system and all the old abilities we had before, not until January to the very least. So if you’re looking for all the old abilities, they’re not in yet. No flight, no swimming, no climbing etc.
Can you turn a face down creature into a face up creature?
Even though turning a face-down creature face-up does not use the stack, any triggered abilities that trigger when it’s turned face-up do use the stack. This includes abilities like Rattleclaw Mystic ‘s triggered ability. It is not a mana ability (since it is not triggering off of another mana ability), so it will use the stack.
Can a morph be combined with an alternate cost?
Morph is an alternate cost, so you cannot combine it with other alternate costs. For instance, you could not cast a face-down creature for free if you control an Omniscience.
