Can I breed blastoise with Ditto?

Can Wailord breed with Blastoise?
Breed a Male Wailord knowing Water Spout and a female Octillery. Keep breeding until you get a male Remoraid knowing Water Spout. Then breed a female Blastoise with the male Remorade/Octillery. Why is Blastoise not a dual type?
The reason for Blastoise not being a dual-type will be known only to GameFreak. Blastoise’s fellow starters in Kanto have their final evolutions with two-types, Charizard being Fire/Flying and Venusaur being Grass/Poison. So, Blastoise should also have a dual-typing.
Is water spout Blastoise good?
Water Spout is an extremely powerful spread attack when Mega Blastoise is healthy, especially when it has rain support. It’s especially useful for smashing Landorus-T and reliably hitting Sylveon when Mega Blastoise’s health is low.
