How does Carcassonne scoring work?
Each of the monastery’s tiles (the 8 surrounding tiles and the one with the monastery itself) is worth 1 point. Scoring always occurs at the end of a player’s turn. At that moment, each player with a meeple in a scored feature earns points. After each scoring, return to your supply the scored meeples.
Can you put two monasteries next to each other Carcassonne?
Yes, you can Play them next to each other. Yes, drawing – and placing – one when you are out of meaples means that you will not be able to Claim it and there will be no Points of that “empty” monastry for you (or anyone else) in that game.
Can I move the fairy before the dragon moves?
So yes, you can absolutely move the fairy before the dragon begins its movement. In fact, if you intend to, you must do it before dragon movement.
What does the dragon do in Carcassonne?
You can use thirty new tiles to unleash a dragon that devours anyone in its path, summon a fairy to protect your followers, or remove rival knights from a city. No matter what tile you draw, you’ll have plenty of options to disrupt your opponents’ plans and claim more points for yourself.
Can you place a Meeple on a monastery?
Monasteries are completely independent of each other. You can always place a meeple on a monastery tile that you’ve just placed, no matter what it is connected to.

The Dragon (12 tiles): Dragon tiles are placed exactly like those in the base game. Unlike Volcano tiles, you are allowed to place a meeple on a Dragon tile. Then… the dragon moves!
How are Knights scored in every Carcassonne expansion?
Knights score points for each City tile in a completed City. A City is completed once it is surrounded by walls and doesn’t contain any gaps. The player who owns the most Knights in a completed City scores 2 points for each used City segment. Each Pennant in the completed City scores 2 additional points.
What are the rules for Carcassonne in English?
Rio Grande Games (who publish the English-language versions of Carcassonne) have chosen to stay with the original rules, which state that for each completed city the player with the most farmers supplying it gets 4 points. Tied players all get 4 points each.
How are the points calculated in Carcassonne for each farm?
The rules were changed firstly to a 3 points per farm basis, and secondly to allow one player to score more than once for the same city. For each farm, count the number of farmers in that farm. The player with the most farmers in the farm scores for that farm.
How many points does the pigsty get in Carcassonne?
