The game is hard. I personally never found an easy way around that other than not relying on your team mates. The boss battles are great but the AI isn’t designed around avoiding attacks which makes them a liability.

How do you get Choco Arc the Lad?
Choco is a recurring character in this series (and has been in all the games in some form), and unlockable by winning the 30-round arena challenge in Rueloon. It can be a pain, but with Darc and Volk at decent levels (30+), two Gale Headbands, and a Luminous Moss a piece, it makes things much easier.
