Rock Slide (いわなだれ Rock Slide) is a Rock-type move introduced in Generation I. It was available as TM48 in Generation I. While losing its TM status in Generations II and III, it returned as TM80 as of Generation IV. In Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, it is available as TM22.
Is rock slide better than rock throw?
Rock Slide is more damaging and more accurate than Rock Throw…but it still sucks. While it does have 5 fewer PP than Rock Throw, Rock Throw is so totally awful that it’s not even a consideration. If you’ve been having trouble raising a low level Geodude, Rock Throw is probably the reason.

Rock Tomb is a great Rock-Type move with a solid accuracy of 95 and a decent base power of 60. Luckily, plenty of Rock-Type Pokemon have solid Physical Attack stats to make Rock Tomb deal more damage.

Most Rock type Pokémon are incredibly sturdy, and Gigalith is no exception. It’s stronger than Golem in almost every way. That extends to typing as well. Since Gigalith is pure Rock type, you don’t get 4x weaknesses to Water and Grass, and there’s no Ice weakness either.

Rock Blast at level 25 is better than Rock Throw, despite the accuracy drop. On the TM side, Rock Smash hits what its STAB can’t, and can also lower defense.
