Are Orbeez environmentally friendly?
Orbeez are not biodegradable. They can be used in the garden once you are done using them over and over again for playtime, by tilling the grown Orbeez into the dirt to help hold the moisture in the dirt for plants but they are not fully biodegradable.
Is it safe to eat an Orbeez?
Orbeez are non-toxic. They are, like all small parts, a choking hazard and should be kept out of the reach of children under age 3. Tests have shown that if a child swallows Orbeez, they should pass through the digestive system with no problems.
How do you dispose of Orbeez?
When you want to dispose of the Orbeez, simply put them in a bag or a trash can and wait for the trash pickup truck to come for your trash. You could also put them in your flower pots or in your garden outside since they will help the plants retain more water and improve the overall health of the plants.
Do Orbeez get moldy?
Make sure the container is completely closed and airtight, and store them for up to a week. If your Orbeez accidentally dry out, don’t worry. Just re-soak them in warm water to make them grow again. If your Orbeez smell moldy, throw them away and grow a new package.
Are Orbeez dangerous to animals?
You should not be scared by the sound of Orbeez components as they are actually completely non-toxic and they pose no poisoning danger both for kids and pets.
What if my dog ate water beads?
Water crystals are none toxic and bio degradable, so they should pass with no effect if ingested in small quantities. The only real risk I could think of is slight dehydration, but they would have to eat lots of them (dry).
Can I put Orbeez in soil?
Orbeez can be used for growing fruits and vegetables as well as they are completely safe. The pigmentation they contain is not released in the soil and cannot pass into the fruit or vegetable grown. Orbeez release only the water they have absorbed.
Can you sanitize Orbeez?
You can wash and reuse the beads by putting them in the sun for a few days to shrink or during the winter, in front of a dehumidifier. I would suggest putting in all of the Orbeez instead of just 3 packets to get the best result but its relaxing and fun either way. Hope this helps!
