Going Out / Finishing a Hand After laying down a Phase, players try to “go out” as soon as possible. The player to go out first wins the hand. To go out, the player must be able to discard their entire hand, by discarding or hitting on other phases.
Can you go out without discarding in Phase 10?
To go out, a player must get rid of all of their cards by hitting and discarding. Any players who completed their Phase, will advance to the next Phase for the next hand, while any player not able to complete their Phase remain on that same Phase for the next hand.
Do you have to keep score in Phase 10?
The winner is the first person who completes Phase 10 at the end of a hand. The first player to complete Phase 10 will always have the lowest score. If the scores are the same and it’s still a tie, the tied players replay a hand and try to complete Phase 10 again. The first player to go out is declared the winner.
What happens at the end of Phase 10?
Being the first player to go out in a round means you get to advance to the next phase and hand. Also, players who had cards remaining in their hand must add them up. Gaining points is not ideal, the player in Phase 10 with the lowest score wins. If at the end of a round there is only one player to complete phase 10, they are the winner.

Color is irrelevant here. Meanwhile, the “10″, “10″, and “Wild”, can complete a Set of 3. A group of one color (as in Phase 8), is simply defined as all cards being of the same color. Numbers are irrelevant here, including repetitive numbers. It can be all seven green cards, or seven blue cards, or seven red cards.
