Is Chapter approved necessary?
We’re not saying that the core rulebook is completely pointless with the release of Chapter Approved. However, you shouldn’t need to bring both the core book and Chapter Approved with you on tournament day.
What is in Chapter approved?
Chapter Approved was a regular column in White Dwarf in which officially approved background and rules information created by the Warhammer 40,000 design team – often the head designer directly – were published. It also included looks ‘behind the scenes’ at the design process, as well as trial rules and FAQs.
What codex do I need for Warhammer?
Strictly speaking the barest minimum needed to play would be Index: Imperium 1 and Index: Chaos. If you already have the CSM Codex you can do w/out Index: Chaos. You do not actually need the Codex: SM for Blood Angels.
Do I need the rulebook to play 40k?
