Why is Ash Ketchum not in Pokemon games?
They wanted a main character, but they didn’t want the character to be someone that would end up becoming a League champion, so they opted to make a different character based off Red, rather than have two versions of the same exact character that are mediocre in the show, but do well in the games/manga.

Nerds are the greatest candy of all time, because it’s a bottomless box of crunchy sweet/tart bliss. Each little piece of beautifully balanced sweet and tart candy was an explosion of flavor, a never-ending assault on my teeth and taste buds. There was no stopping the bliss.
