Can you make your own PSN avatars?
You can’t create a custom avatar for the PS4. You can create a custom profile picture, but only you and those you’ve given access to your real name will be able to see it. You can’t create custom profile pictures on the console, you have to do it with the PlayStation app.
Can you get avatars from PS3 on PS4?
Yes. You can’t change you avatar from your PS4 for whatever reason though so if you want to change it, you’ll need to do it with your PS3.
Can you share avatars on PS3?
You cannot. Avatars are only available on the account purchased.

How to change your avatar on a PS4 on desktop
- Log into your PlayStation account on a PC or Mac computer.
- Click on your profile picture on the right-hand corner of your screen, next to the Search bar.
- Select “Edit Profile.”
- Then click on the “Edit” button next to “Avatar” to choose your new Avatar picture.
How do you change your icon on ps3?
Simple 5 step procedure…
- press triangle on ur icon.
- select account manag.
- select account manag. again.
- select edit online profile.
- select new avatar.
Can you still buy avatars on PS4?
PS4 users, rejoice: you can now purchase avatars through the PlayStation Store.
Can you get free avatars on PS4?
A nice little surprise has been bundled in with PlayStation 4 firmware update 8.00 — new PlayStation Network avatars! A whopping 71 avatars have been made available free of charge, allowing you to customise your profile in any way you see fit.
Can you still get avatars on PS5?
As it is now, pretty much the only way to get new ones is to buy them on a PS4 (I think they’re still available on that store) or hope that some digital games include them. The PS5 does come with a pretty huge collection of preloaded avatars at least (go to edit your profile > avatars).
