Can you target your own shroud creatures?
As mentioned, Shroud does nothing in your scenario. However, if you replace Scion of the Ur-Dragon with something like Mother of Runes, she will not be able to target herself with her own ability since she would have shroud (as her ability targets, unlike Scion’s).
Does shroud protect from creature abilities?
“Shroud” means “This permanent or player can’t be the target of spells or abilities.” This ability has no other meaning, no hidden tricks or anything. It doesn’t prevent damage to a creature with Shroud, nor makes it impossible to destroy the permanent with Shroud, nor counter a spell of a permanent with Shroud.
Can you proliferate a shrouded creature?
Proliferate doesn’t target, therefore shroud doesn’t “stop” it. So it chooses “targets” without targeting? Like when you cheat O ring into play with sun titan? There are no abilities which target which do not say “target” in their reminder text.

Whats better Hexproof or shroud?
Hexproof and shroud both reduce interactivity, shutting out every single spell that could hurt the recipient. Hexproof is not less interactive than shroud; in fact the opposite is true. Shroud prevents all non-combat interaction but hexproof only shuts off your opponents’ interaction.

What happens when you cast an aura on a creature?
