No, because Glacial Chasm doesn’t deal any damage. The differences here are life lost, damage, and life paid. The cumulative upkeep is a cost – not damage – so you will still pay life (or not if you choose not to pay the upkeep cost).

That’s a deck built around using lands to provide effects, so it’s actually a bit of an upside that Glacial Chasm is a land: it can be searched up with Crop Rotation or brought back from your graveyard with Life from the Loam.

Is the glacial chasm card good for cedh?

Glacial Chasm could be another card that would help work towards the Second Chance win, it also prevents your opponents from killing you out of nowhere when you are getting close to that 5 life. Might not be great in Cedh though, I’m a bit more of a casual player so idk.
