Deserter debuff now lasts 5 minutes (down from 20 minutes). New applications of the Deserter debuff within a 20-minute rolling window extends its duration by 5 additional minutes each time, up to a maximum of 20 minutes.
How do I stop deserter dungeon?
You see, you cannot recieve the Dungeon Deserter debuff when you are dead! Simply die, then right click your portrait and leave the group and wait a second. You should get a message that says “You cannot do that while dead”. Once you get that then you’re free to release and free of any nasty 15 minute deserter debuff.
Does dungeon deserter tick while offline?
The timer will continue to tick down even if the character is offline. We do not have the ability to alter or remove this timer once it has been applied to a character.

Why do I get deserter for being kicked?
Because if you get kicked early during the dungeon, you get the deserter debuff. That way people can’t abuse it. For instance: tank queues for random dungeon, gets something he doesn’t like/need, then proceeds to afk until team kicks him out so that he doesn’t get deserter and can queue up for another one.
What happens if you leave a dungeon in wow?
