Dagannoth may be based on the Deep Ones from H.P. Lovecraft’s The Shadow over Innsmouth. In the aforementioned story, they worshipped the elder beings Father Dagon and Mother Hydra.

A Slayer level of 1 is required to harm dagannoth, but in order to be assigned dagannoth as a slayer task, players must complete Horror from the Deep; however, completion of Horror from the Deep is not required to be assigned the Dagannoth Kings as a slayer task.

Getting there The Dagannoth Kings reside in the sixth level of the Waterbirth Island Dungeon. Players will need to get past a series of doors and then run through the dungeon to reach the Dagannoth Kings. To do so, have a friend or two who know the way come to let you through the doors.
